Here at The University of the West of England we are considering putting
telephones on help points in the parts of the library where there are not any
staffed desks. The idea behind this is that students can use the phone to
contact staff rather than having to go to a different floor to seek help.
Please can I ask if anyone else has telephone help points in their library?
If so who answers the phone?
Is there more than one number that the student can contact (e.g. library or
IT helpdesk)?
If anybody can offer any information or experience of the above we would be
really interested to hear about it.
