The College of Law is focused on delivering excellence across a range of pre
and post qualification courses in support of the legal community. With centres
across the country we are continually looking to enhance and expand the
services available to our students.
Temporary Part Time Information Assistant - Manchester
£9 per hour. Hours to be agreed.
Following the successful opening of our new Centre in Manchester, we are now
looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to
provide extra support in the Library and Student Services teams, until further
notice.
In addition to assisting with a range of standard library tasks, such as
answering student enquiries, issuing/discharging books, shelving and tidying,
processing new materials and updating loose-leaf works, you will provide admin
support to colleagues within the Student Services team.
You will work within the library on two or three days each week, on a two
week rota, to be agreed with the Information Officer. These can be fixed days
each week subject to usual business requirements. In addition, you will
provide support within the Student Services team with hours to be agreed.
We are therefore looking for a minimum of 21 hours per week.
Ideally you will have law library experience, excellent customer care skills,
have used online and web based systems, and be prepared to support all
colleagues as we establish this new centre.
