Job Description: Work in a cognitive neuroscience lab integrating
electroencephalography (EEG) and functional MRI (fMRI) to study the
interface of attention and memory in healthy young and older adults.
Simultaneous EEG/FMRI experiments will be conducted at the UCSF
Neuroscience Imaging Center (NIC, http://sfnic.ucsf.edu/).
Job Responsibilities: Assume an integrated role in all aspects of the
data collection and analysis. Data analysis is performed
independently, and includes the use of established programs (e.g,
FSL/SPM and Analyzer/EEGlab), as well as the development of new
analytical approaches, mostly using Matlab.
Required Qualifications: BA/BS in psychology, neuroscience,
bioengineering or related science; previous research experience in
this field (particularly conducting fMRI and/or EEG experiments);
working knowledge of MS Windows and Mac OS; computer programming
skills, specifically the ability to design and write scripts in
Matlab; good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to
work independently as well as with others; ability to handle
fluctuating priorities and deadlines; interest in learning brain
structure-function relationships.
