Dear all,
The London Animal Studies Reading Group aims to bring together researchers (doctoral students and staff) from a range of disciplines in the humanities, law, and social sciences with an interest in understanding the human-animal relationship.
The members of the group will decide upon the books to be read, but the intention is that the group will alternate between methodological and disciplinary approaches, looking at work from both philosophy and critical social science. The proposed first title is R.W.Bulliet’s Hunters, Herders, and Hamburgers.
The group will meet weekly during term time for one hour (Monday, lunchtime) at either King’s College London or London School of Economics.
To register interest in the reading group, please contact Alasdair Cochrane ([log in to unmask]) or Krithika Srinivasan ([log in to unmask]).
Regards
Krithika
