THE SOCIETY FOR CARIBBEAN STUDIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
In 2000 the committee began to make papers presented to the annual conference and the Northern Network Research Seminars widely available. Although the Society for Caribbean Studies is a UK based Society given our international membership we wished to publish select papers electronically to enable our members' research to be made more widely and easily available. No particular discipline or theoretical position is privileged and the work reflects our members' research interests, typically in the disciplines of history, literature, politics, visual arts, culture, anthropology and sociology. The combined volumes total 75 fully searchable papers and these are also available as part of electronic database provided by EBSCO publishing distributed by subscription to libraries. EBSCO publishing currently licenses the full text content of over 75,000 periodicals, reference books and databases and is marketed worldwide. We also have a print collection of essays based on the first three volumes of papers entitled Beyond the Blood, the Beach and the Banana: New Perspectives on Caribbean Studies, edited by Sandra Courtman (Kingston: Ian Randle, 2004)
The papers are in a secure PDF format and electronic copying is not possible.
Submission does not mean that you cannot publish a print version of your paper elsewhere but please acknowledge our proceedings, for example, http://www.caribbeanstudies.org.uk/papers/vol9.htm
