We are looking for a researcher to work on a
project investigating body sizes and risk factors
for cardiovascular disease (CVD) in children.
The study is based on several
longitudinal/cross-sectional studies of British
children born between 1970s and 1990s. The
purpose of the project is to examine the
influence of rising trends of childhood obesity
on CVD risk factors in children. The post holder
will be responsible for conducting statistical
analysis and contribute to writing-up of scientific papers.
Applicants must hold a BSc and an MSc or
equivalent in statistics, epidemiology or another
related subject for this post.
Applicants must have a good working knowledge of
statistical methods and the use of one or more
statistical packages such as STATA, SPSS, SAS.
Experience of analysis of large epidemiological datasets is desirable.
The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6. The
salary range will be £27,658 - £29,172 per annum
depending on skills and experience, inclusive of
London Allowance. This post if funded for 12 months.
