Hi All,
For those who are not familiar with the issue of using lifts, can I
suggest you get hold of BS9999: 2008. This sets out the principles when
lifts may be used etc.
Regards
Martin

Hello
I am told that it is possible if the wiring is specially protected and
on its own back-up generator to use a lift for disabled evacuation.

Hi Shane
I'm afraid I can't help you with any case studies - I have never heard
of using non-evacuation lifts for emegency evacuation. However, I would
be extremely interested in hearing the results of your research. As you
say, this idea completely tips the traditional thinking on its head.
Thanks
