We developers consider SPM2 to be completely obsolete, and have plan to
spend any time fixing compatibility issues with later releases of
MATLAB. Similarly, it is unlikely that we'll offer further patches etc
for SPM5.
However, if there are incompatibilities with later versions of MATLAB
and SPM8, then we'll try to fix them as quickly as possible - if we can.
