Vacancy for Director of ripfa (Research in practice for adults)
Research in practice for adults (ripfa) is the largest research
implementation organisation dedicated to adult services in England, and is
exceptional in being owned and led by its 48 subscribing Partner agencies.
Established within the Dartington Hall Trust in 2005 to promote the use of
evidence-informed practice in the planning and delivery of adult social
care services, it now forms a key part of Dartington's Social Justice
programme, working to help Partners use research evidence to improve
outcomes for service users and carers.
ripfa is seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Director
following the appointment of the initial director to a new national role in
Scotland. The Director will lead the organisation, working closely with its
Partners, Partnership Board and the Social Justice programme. Key
objectives will include:
o Leading a small team of staff to continue the growth and
development of ripfa
o Managing resources effectively, including identifying
additional income streams to support increased impact
of our work
o Championing ripfa to external partners and increasing the
influence of our work
o Playing a full role on Dartington's Social Justice management
team and contributing more widely to the 'One Dartington'
vision across its programmes in the arts, sustainability and
social justice.
To be successful, you will need to be passionate about the role that
evidence-informed practice can have on improving outcomes within adult
social care. You may currently be in practice or academia but whatever your
background you'll need strong credibility, strategic thinking, a dedication
to quality, entrepreneurial flair, and the skills necessary to plan and
manage resources. In return, we offer a fantastic opportunity to take a
successful and respected organisation through its next phase of development
in the inspirational setting of Dartington.
