Alas, Dave, with the kind of events happening lately in the flat above you
and the roof across the road, one doesn't wonder why you'd immerse yourself
in reading and gathering library-tossed quality books. Yet....the beauty
that we souls need---namely, poetry, music, architecture, design and
art---flourish as you and others create and present it.
It may be that local poetry and art groups engage us the most and best, as
distinctly opposite from the hyperstructure you evade. I give much credit
to you and Patrick for your volunteered energies to your local poetry
groups.
Best,
Judy
