Assistant/Associate Professor in Communication Sciences & Disorders
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of
South Carolina has a 9-month, tenure-track position available in the
following areas: child language, motor speech disorders, speech science, or
voice. Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences &
Disorders or related fields. CCC-SLP strongly preferred. Other
qualifications include: (a) strong potential for excellence in research and
teaching; (b) publication record in peer-reviewed journals; and (c) desire
to work in a progressive research friendly environment. Responsibilities
will include: teaching, supervising student research, and conducting
research in an area of interest. Teaching load is commensurate with research
effort but will not exceed three courses per year. The University of South
Carolina is a Carnegie Doctoral/Research Extensive Institution with an
aggressive program of expansion in the area of biomedical research,
especially neuroscience/neuroimaging. Salary is competitive and commensurate
