The article on the family intervention programme is true but the numbers are
being a bit exaggerated. Only a few families of the 2000 which have been
targeted so far are under 24 hour supervision. The rest have varying levels of
intervention.
If you are interested this report on the subject came out last year:
http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/research/programmeofresearch/projectinformation.cfm
?projectid=15499&resultspage=1
It claims 3% of families in the programme were moved into 24hr
supervision "core units"

Subject: CCTV on bad parents,,,
are these stories true or hoaxes? In Germany it appears that some feel this is
not really what is behind the story - can anyone from England/Britain confirm
or clarify the issue?
best wishes
