Winners and losers in contrasting labour markets? Socio-economic and spatial
inequalities in the population health effects of economic recession and
economic growth.
Durham University wishes to appoint a full-time Post-Doctoral Research
Associate (PDRA) for 24 months to contribute to this exciting international
project which involves collaboration with the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm.
The successful candidate will be based in Durham’s Geography Department
(awarded the highest, 5* ranking in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise)
and will also be part of the Geographies of Health and Wellbeing research
group at the Wolfson Research Institute. Candidates must hold or be near to
completion of a PhD or equivalent doctorate degree in a social science, public
health or epidemiology and have experience of advanced quantitative research
methods. The successful applicant will be employed full time (1.0 f.t.e.) to
assist on the project.
