The first meeting of the Public Sector Group (formerly the Local Government
Group) will take place on Friday November 6th 2009 at the Westminster
Archives Centre. The meeting is being sponsored by Opentext.
The theme for the meeting is Sharepoint, EDRMS and Records Management.
The day will begin with a presentation from Opentext about Web 2.0 and
Enterprise 2.0. This will be followed by the keynote presentation from Richard
Jeffery-Cook (Inform Consult) entitled “Sharepoint Basics for Records
Managers”. There will also be a presentation from Rob Hutton (Central
Bedfordshire Council) exploring the journey from EDRMS to ECM. There will also
be a panel discussion about all the issues at the end of the day. The agenda

The meeting is open to any one who would like to attend but preference will
be given to RMS members until 23rd October when the meeting will be opened
to any one else who is interested.
