Dear Russell,
I believe you to be in part correct.
I was the last person to be allowed to view the HSE (Bootle), collection of
the List of Mines pbls.. Quarries existed, but where this all went is
anybodies guess, since, when I wanted to view same again access was denied. On
heavy pressure, the existence of of these pbls. being denied in that they
didn't have them, further heavy pressure stating that I had been permitted
access and had annotated from same, drew the comment that they no longer had
same! - nor would they be drawn on where they where!!! I had offered to
buy them at the outset, but this was denied: they have now gone from this
safe residence... so the final resting place of these valuable vols. is
completely unknown.
In a telecon I asked if their disappearance had anything to do with my
viewing of same, to which the answer was no. So, to all, please take note, HSE
(Bootle), did have such vols. (since I actually saw them), but to where
they have gone, and to whom, and for how much, is known only to
them............. however, I am somewhat suspicious of this, since I am fairly certain
that I have seen a copy of what I saw at their offices elsewhere. If I could
prove same beyond doubt I would have no hesitation in taking action
against he Hd. of Dept. - same would be responsible for his/hers predecessors.
Regards, Bernard
