Hi All
Following the meeting with Jonathan Breckon I circulated the launch
statement for the Citizens' Coalition for Public Service Broadcasting - an
organisation of civil society organisations that, following the publication
of Digital Britain, have been pulled together by Voice of the Listner and
Viewer to campaign to protect the BBC and Channel 4 as public service
broadcasters.
I had sent out the statement for information but some of you responded by
signing-up to the launch statement. This provoked a debate among the
steering group at the Coaltion. The original intention had been to confine
the signatories to civil society organistaions but after some discussion we
agreed that it would enormoulsy enhance the credibility of the Coaltion if
academics, specialising in media policy (and/or their departments) were
signed up.
Hence, I am recirculating the document and inviting you to let me, or the
coalition (at [log in to unmask]) know that you are a happy for your
name to be attached.
I look forward to hearing from you
Ivor
