Hello all,
I am not sure if you are aware that from Dec 2009 InformaWorld will be
changing to a new platform InformaHealthcare.
Unfortunately the new platform will not provide access to journals via
Athens authentication and will instead support Shibboleth. IP access is
transferable.

Original enquiry from me:
I have just been looking at your new platform which will replace the
Informaworld access, and note that it no longer supports Athens login
(our main method of access).
We are a joint NHS-HE library which result in conflicts of organisation
IP address, we also cover several Trusts, some of which we can not
currently activate on IP address.
Athens is the only real valid method of access which we have with allows
the correct individuals from the NHS access to content they are entitled
to. Please can you advise the best way to retain access to our
purchased content post Dec 2009.
I don't believe our account has yet been transferred across, as I have
received no confirmation and our logins are not compatible with the new
site.
Amit Sharma (support analyst):
The content will be moved to the new Informa Healthcare platform in Jan
2010.
Yes you are correct that Athens will no longer be support by the new
platform, however, you will be able to gain access via Shibboleth.
Hope this helps.
Amit Sharma:
I can understand. But this was a business decision.
I have mentioned your problem to the team who makes these decisions and I am waiting for their reply on whether or not Athens access will be added onto Atypon in the future.

Correspondence with Karen Wight with regards to flagging with PASA
Daryl:
We have just come across this. Is this something you think should be
referred to PASA? Don't know who else it may effect, but it's a real
problem for us.
Karen:
I'm not sure to be honest - the only way to flag it to PASA would be if
Informa Healthcare were a named supplier on the Framework Agreement.
I'll have a look and let you know.
Nope, Informa aren't on the Framework Agreement so it isn't a PASA
issue. In looking at the journal list, we take a few of the titles too.
It may be worth raising the issue via Lis-Medical to see if a) anyone
else was aware of this change (I certainly wasn't and it makes you
wonder if our subscription agents should have alerted it to us) and b)
could anyone suggest a work-around? By discussing things on
lis-medical, at least Helen Bingham will be alerted to the issue too as
she is our 'voice' into the publisher arena.....
