Hi All
We use Ebsco's AtoZ listing for our electronic journals - however, they are not yet Shibboleth compliant, but hope to be by the end of the summer. Due to the short length of time, we decided to go ahead with the Athens-Shibboleth switchover and use a temporary login to manage off-campus access.
This temp login has proved very inconsistant, sometimes appearing and sometimes not. The other option we have is a referring URL which would direct people to log in to our VLE in order to access the e-journals, and then they would also need to log in via Shibboleth. This would lead to complications for several cohorts of students who we have added to active directory for Shibboleth purposes, but do not have access to our VLE.
There must be other institutions out there using the Ebsco AtoZ - how are you managing access? Any advice/comments gratefully received as this is becoming a big problem!
Many thanks,
Claire
