Hi Ilkay
I never worked out a way to do exactly what you want but we encourage the staff to use the Preferred Searches option in MyMillennium which then emails them when an item is added which matches their search.
Hope this helps.

Subject: notifying selector
Dear All,
It is my first post to the list. I find out that so many people benefit from the list to share or improve their use of Millennium and I'd be grateful if anyone contribute with their experience in this matter.
We are about to do the settings with acquisition module. One of the questions raised during the training is about notifying the selector. I was wondering how you notify selector automatically through the system? One solution is to put hold on the item for the selector, when it's created but then hold notice will be sent and its content is not really appropriate for that purpose. I know the notice can be revised or so but I would like to hear if anything else can be done for that matter. It may not seem like a big issue but quite important to impress the faculty or have less manual work to do.
Thanks a lot,
Ilkay
