Hi Adrian,
Running Shib 2.1 in production on multiple servers with Terracotta here at
Cardiff, and it all works fine. Tested failover in multiple ways and it
all seems to work as advertised.
When you followed the instructions on the I2 wiki -
https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/SHIB2/IdPCluster - did you do the bit
at the bottom of that page to add the automatic reconnect option within
the tc-config.xml file?

[JISC-SHIBBOLETH] Is anyone using Terracotta with Shibboleth ?
Hi,
Is anyone using Terracotta to provide high-availability for Shibboleth,
and if so, how well does it work in practice ? We are currently testing
a pair of load-balanced Shibboleth 2 IdPs, and find that the Terracotta
client just connects to one of the servers. If this server fails or is
reloaded, the client does not try to reconnect, and the session sharing
no longer happens. I've followed the instructions for installing
Terracotta on the Shibboleth 2 Wiki, as far as I can tell, but do not
understand the details of how Terracotta works.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Adrian.
