Well, yes, I guess there is a certain level of gut feel to any decision making... which is not always a bad thing.
FWIW, I found the exchange helpful in understanding how iTunes U (and iTunes for thast matter) works at a technical level and will change my views accordingly. Hopefully others don't see it as too off-topic for this list. I certainly understand why institutions would want to use it... but I also understand why Apple are so keen to see so many institutions using it.
