I am inviting applications for a temporary GIS Officer to fill a post which is available until 31 March 2010.
The post is based in Bath and the pay will be an hourly rate which will equate to around £24,000 p.a.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the management of systems and data for the whole of the Environment Agency covering England and Wales.
They will be part of a team who maintain centrally held spatial data to feed our national systems, support our browser based GIS on all desktops and offer telephone support to all of our ArcGIS Desktop users.
The team also supply our own and licensed data to external organisations and individuals and you would be expected to play a significant role in the preparation of this data.
Experience in ArcGIS and Microsoft Office is essential along with the good organisational skills.
You should be educated to degree level or have substantial experience in a
similar role.
