With apologies for cross-posting
An international workshop exploring developments in German cinema since 2000 is being held on Tues 01 Sept at the University of Leeds.
The speakers (Brad Prager, Christine Haase, Jaimey Fischer, Marco Abel, Daniela Berghahn, David Clarke, Alasdair King, Rachel Palfreyman, Nick Hodgin, Paul Cooke, Chris Homewood) will be giving presentations based on their contributions for the forthcoming volume New Directions in German Cinema, asking the question of whether German national cinema in the new millennium has moved beyond the aesthetically conservative and politically staid 'cinema of consensus' as diagnosed by film scholar Eric Rentschler at the end of the 1990s.
Extra places are limited, but if you are interesting in attending please contact me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>)
Best wishes,
Chris Homewood
