Dear Mr.Turner and depthmap community:
My name is Cláudio Mainieri de Ugalde. I’m an architect. I work at a
metropolitan planning agency in Porto Alegre, Brazil and also a PhD Student,
at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I am studying with Prof.
Décio Rigatti and my thesis is about metropolitan spatiality and mobility
public policies (preliminar approach). I’m trying to explore the concept of
intelligibility in large spatial systems and have felt the necessity of a
software that shows (highlight) the topological minimum path between two
selected axial lines. I've gone through Depthmap Handbook but couldn't find
a tool for this purpose. So, I ask you if Depthmap does it and how. Some
time ago we processed Read's integration gradient map (supergrid) through a
GIS software but I wonder Depthmap could take care of it in a simpler (more
simple????) way. I'd be grateful for this information too.
Best regards.
Cláudio
