Subject: RETENTION OF COUNSELLING RECORDS
Hi all
I've been asked by our Occupational Health Unit for how long we should keep
counselling records. The LGCS states destroy staff health records 75 years
from d.o.b. but are counselling records "health" records? The LGCS also
states
destroy counselling records 6 years after termination of employment but I
take
these type of counselling records to be disciplinary counselling as opposed
to
psychotherapy counselling?
As usual I'll be very grateful for comments and/or advice.
Diolch!
Nia
