Biomathematics & Statistics Scotland (BioSS) has an international=20
reputation for methodological development in statistics, mathematical=20
modelling and bioinformatics. BioSS offers a stimulating working=20
environment, with over 30 staff at four different locations, working on=20
applications in plant science, animal health and welfare, ecology &=20
environmental science and nutrition & human health.
We seek a senior statistician with excellent technical, interpersonal=20
and managerial skills to lead BioSS=92s broad portfolio of scientific=20
applications and to take direct responsibility for our work in plant=20
science at SCRI in Dundee. As Scotland=92s premier Institute for research=
=20
on crop plants and their interactions with the environment, SCRI works=20
at the forefront of modern technology, generating a challenging range of=20
quantitative problems.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of=20
collaboration with scientists and innovation in the development and=20
application of modern statistical methods, substantiated by a record of=20
scientific publications. Experience of staff and project initiation and=20
management are also required.
