Right on, David (and Bob Herbert on this issue).

Subject: NYT Bob Herbert - This Is Reform? - NYTimes.com
Dear AAHPN colleagues
I don't often agree all that much with Bob Herbert, who is pretty far left.
And as many of you already know, I'm closer to a Clinton Democrat. (Google
my campaign contributions . . . )
However, his op-ed today is, in my view, spot-on. One can pretty accurately
encapsulate where this all is going with his paragraph 6:
"If the oldest and sickest are on Medicare, and the poorest are on Medicaid,
and the young and the healthy are required to purchase private insurance
without the option of a competing government-run plan ‹ well, that¹s reform
the insurance companies can believe in."
Yep. I think that's it.
Yours
David
