Ph.D. research fellowship (Assistent/in in Ausbildung)
at the Department of Statistics and Decision Support Systems
(Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics).

The position is meant to support young scientists through their Ph.D.
research. Employment (40 hrs/week) begins September 28, 2009, on a 2
year renewable contract.
Areas of work: The successful applicant will enter the department's
Ph.D. program and is expected to work on model selection, the design
of techniques for dealing with high-dimensional data, or similar
statistical methods.
Profile: Applicants are required to have a Master's or comparable
degree in statistics, mathematics, or a closely related discipline; a
solid background in statistics and probability theory; and promising
potential for original research.
