(With apologies for cross-posting.)
Registrations are still open for the 60th Annual Conference of the New Zealand
Statistical Association at Victoria University of Wellington, 2-3 September. The
conference web site is http://msor.victoria.ac.nz/Events/NZSA2009/.
Abstracts are due by Friday August 7: only three more days to submit your talk...
A detailed conference programme and full timetable will be available on the
conference web site soon after abstract submissions close. Details of Plenary
talks and Statistical Education Workshops and Talks are already available, as
are abstracts for talks contributed so far.
An optional one-day workshop on Semiparametric Regression, to be given by Prof
Matt Wand (University of Wollongong), will precede the conference on Tuesday 1
September.
Further details for both events are available from the Registration web page
<http://msor.victoria.ac.nz/Events/NZSA2009/ConferenceRegistration> along with a
link to the registration form.
Early-bird registration is until Friday August 14. So register now and save.
Talks from students are especially encouraged: there will be prizes for the best
student talks, sponsored by Offlode <http://www.offlode.com/>. Students pay half
the fees of other NZSA members (students get free NZSA membership for the first
year after joining the Association). The NZSA has some funds available to
support students at New Zealand Universities travelling to the conference. For
further information contact Roger Littlejohn <[log in to unmask]>
before 14 August.
Further sponsorship has been kindly provided by Victoria University of
Wellington <http://www.victoria.ac.nz/>, Statistics New Zealand
<http://www.stats.govt.nz/>, and SAS <http://www.sas.com/nz>.
I hope you can join us in Wellington this September.
