Hi,
Just looking at some of the analysis jobs and the size of the files. I'm
noticing something counter to my expectations. I thought the file stager
worked as follows:
1) Stage in first file
2) Stage in next needed file in background
3) Once current file is no longer needed it is deleted and job starts
using already staged next file
4) GOTO 2
This would mean that at most there would be two data files on the disk
for each job.
What I'm seeing with the current HC test is up to 7 files resident on
disk for each job. Is this a bug in file stager or does the job really
need all the files resident all of the time?
Local tests with our local Liverpool file stager setup doesn't seem to
do this.
