Clearly short-term denials of service are not much to worry about, but I think there is a lot to be said for caution when museums & galleries tie up with social networking sites, it isn't always easy to know if a service is actually adding 'value' to an institution. It seems fairly inevitable that some sites become the digital equivalent of tomorrow's fish and chip paper quite easily, for example only this morning ITV announced they are to sell friends reunited for 25million after buying it for 170m a few years back.
