Does anyone have a use for a large, back-lit cabinet that holds up to 5,000 2"x2"
(standard size) film transparency slides? This used to house the Bristol Department of
Earth Sciences' collection of projection slides, in the days before PowerPoint and data
projectors, and is now no longer used.
Dimensions and details are as follows:
20" high x 29" deep x 70" long
Capacity 5,000 slides
Needs to be positioned about 3'6" off the ground to view the slides comfortably. Plugs into
electric socket for lighting. Each tray holds 100 @ 2"x 2" mounted slides and there are
50 trays (25 on each side) that can each be slid into the central (viewing) position to
examine with light from behind (no magnification).
