Dear all,
For the last few years, The Digital Classicist has submitted a panel of
papers on a specific digital angle to the Classical Association
conference. (See the call below. Deadline is in two weeks.) I'm not
aware of anyone having put anything together yet, and I've been too busy
this Summer to put something together myself.
If anybody has any ideas for such a panel, please feel free to attach
the Digital Classicist name to it with our blessing. If anyone would
like to suggest a topic (on- or off-list), and a couple of possible
speakers, I'd be happy to co-organize a panel and possibly even offer a
paper myself, if it fits something I'm currently working on.
From the DC seminars this Summer I've noticed several projects working
on digital encoding of geographic texts. That's one possibility, but
other ideas are more than welcome.
