Hi Mark!
You have a copy of Snow Leopard (!?) No-one here is on the Apple beta-
testing list so we're not privileged to have tried this yet, but I
should think that it will work. As Apple claims 10.6 is backward
compatible with 10.5 most things should be ok. I think the differences
are largely to do with 64 bit libraries, of which pre-compiled
Analysis has none.
You will definitely need to ensure that you have a working Python with
Tkinter built for X11. The pre-compiled version may work, but again -
we haven't been able to test this! You may also need to recompile the
C code (again, the pre-compiled libraries *may* work).
There are fixes to get X11 and OpenGL to work under Leopard - these
may be needed for 10.6, or then again they may not! It would be very
interesting to see how X11 is implemented.
So, if you're feeling brave, we would love to know how you get on. On
the flip-side, we'll only be able to offer limited support until the
lab obtains it's own copy! (I will of course try to help as much as is
possible)
Hope that helps,
Dan
