My goodness. And I see that Jeffrey does indeed talk about Coleridge's
influence on Wordsworth's thought in Chapter 2 of his thesis.
Apologies for claiming that he didn't. Still, in the part of the world
encompassed by my skull, I think Coleridge by far the more influential
crrrritic of the two, and find it hard to think of WW's baleful
influence as a dreadful genetic disease in modern poetry.
Meanwhile I'd better get on with things I know more about. Thanks for
the excursion, all.
