Hey, everyone.
I just installed the nanahope release of the Starlink package on my 64 bit
Ubuntu 9.04 system. Every time I try to launch gaia, the following message
pops up in a gaia-style window:
"Failed to load GAIAVO: couldn't load file
"/usr/share/star/star-nanahope/lib/libgaiavo4.3.0.so":libcurl.so.4: cannot
open shared object file: no such file or directory"
If I click the "OK" button in the window, gaia loads as normal and I can do
everything I usually do. However, the incessant error messages are
annoying. For reference, both of the libraries mentioned in the error
message are present on my system:
rwxr-xr-x 1 root 900 6774952 2009-07-24 17:51
/usr/share/star/star-nanahope/lib/libgaiavo4.3.0.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2009-07-06 10:06 /usr/lib32/libcurl.so.4 ->
libcurl.so.4.1.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 252420 2009-03-03 21:14 /usr/lib32/libcurl.so.4.1.0
I have the previous 64 bit version of gaia (and the rest of Starlink)
running just fine on another computer with a similar configuration, and
without error messages.
Any ideas what's wrong?
Thanks,
Mike
