Dear Jennifer,
Thankyou for advising that the HSE Lists are now with your Inst.. I am very
pleased to hear they have a safe and secure home, and the doubt of where
they went is now dispelled for good! Though why HSE didn't say this in the
first place I don't know? I have to say that they were very obliging and
most helpful with my visit (apx. 1997), but there was a two year lapse of
disappearance! - & I only needed to re-check two partic. years for the
Bwlchglas book I have been working on for the last ten years or so - I had five
hours to work on them, and typically I found ref. to something in the last ten
mins. but couldn't finish it off - & was told don't worry you are welcome
to come back again.
There is a matter I would like to ask sometime re 1897 - 1899, but I will
obviously do so off-List.
Thankyou again for so promptly advising us that you have the HSE run.
Granted the covers needed attention, and some basic restoration was required,
but the internals were generally sound - as with such pbls. some of the paper
had become a touch brittle. Is there any chance that your Inst. might
digitise them???
Regards, Bernard
