Applications are invited for the following positions to work on the North West e-Health (NWeH) project in the School of Community Based Medicine. NWeH is a major new project based in Greater Manchester, founded on a partnership between the University of Manchester, Salford Royal Foundation Trust and Salford Primary Care Trust. The mission of NWeH is to create a world-leading capability for analysing healthcare data for patient benefit, care-service development and research. This is an exciting opportunity to implement the NWeH science strategy by providing statistical and epidemiological expertise in pursuit of NWeH scientific objectives.
All positions will require the successful applicants to be educated to higher-degree level and have experience of scientific research in an academic or industrial environment. You will also be able to work effectively within a team and have a strong track record leading contributions to research achievements.
· Senior Biostatistician/ Epidemiologist

You will contribute to the development and management of a world-leading research team focused on extracting knowledge from large repositories of anonymised healthcare and biological data. In particular, you will provide expert statistical analyses of a range of healthcare problems and datasets, especially to study problems of drug safety, and the effectiveness of chronic disease management across the boundary between primary and secondary care, using integrated/linked electronic healthcare records.
