Dear Jorge,
64 bit Linux MEX files were compiled on OpenSuse 11.0, gcc 4.3.1 and
Matlab 7.4 so you probably need to recompile them yourself for your own
platform.
To do so, type the following in a terminal window:
cd /raid/r0/p1/home/almejx/spm8_june_2009/src/
make distclean
make && make install
make toolbox-distclean
make toolbox && make toolbox-install
make external-distclean
make external && make external-install
