Glad the title has caused so much enjoyment.. I've been away for a few days
so had the enjoyment of going through all these messages today.
It was a genuine quote from one of my focus groups, one of the (6th form)
participants really thought that was what Darwin's book was called, it's in the
transcription notes in the appendix. I hadn't seen the BBC report, absolutely
charming!
If you have been to my site
(http://web.me.com/engagewith/Engage_With/Research.html) you'll see the
picture of Darwin's Finches that I doctored for the title page of the
dissertation with a picture of an orange instead of one of the birds and altered
Latin labelling to Citrus sinensis. Well it amused me and as one of the
conclusions of the research was that humour was important in effective
communication I thought that I should practise what I preach!
Best wishes,
Jo
