Hi Glenn,
My opinion would be to stick with the OH side, ie they are fit for the
role with or without a BBV.
Are they covered by DDA? If so, tread carefully with your decision, why
would you disclose this information if it has no bearing on their job?
I appreciate your position, but would be wary about disclosure.
Hope this helps - good luck!

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Non declaration of BBV
Hello
can I ask for opinions please?
I have a member of staff, non EPP who has not declared BBV infection. I
have asked them about this, and shown a copy of the result which was
seen on the lab system, and they have confirmed the result is correct
but they did not declare it, no reason has been offered why not.
Whilst their health is 'fit' to undertake the role, and they are under
the relevant Consultant, should they be cleared due to the
non-disclosure of BBV status? Or should this be the employer's decision?
Personally I feel uncomfortable clearing them as they have lied and
technically mis-led by lack of admission, but is this reason not to
clear?
I think I have made a decision, and then the more I think about it the
more unclear I become!
regards
Glenn
