Dear Mastan and Tony,
The Bodleian's Turkish-language collection now numbers some 23,500
titles. This figure includes books in various Turkic languages as well
as a number in western languages. The focus is language, literature,
history and the humanities with less in the social sciences, though this
is not neglected. Several hundred new titles are acquired each year.
With best wishes,

Subject: UK institutes only - Turkish language library holdings
A query from Tony Gorman, the University of Edinburgh:
I was wondering if you know what the general situation is in the UK
regarding Turkish language library holdings, particularly regarding
works on Middle Eastern history and politics. Are there any notably
strong collections?
Many thanks for any assistance
Tony Gorman
