glite-wn-info currently tells you the Subcluster a WN belongs to. I know that other functionality is going to be
added, but I don't know exactly what. Like a WN, a TAR WN also belongs to a subcluster, right? In the future
there will be a new Cluster-Subcluster node type that won't be part of the CEs, as it's the case now, and therefore
one would need to know to which subcluster a WN/TAR WN is mapped to to be able to publish the software tags properly.
I hope it's more clear now.
