Dear colleagues,
I am writing to let you know that the subscription rates for the Henry Sweet Society will increase for 2010 onwards, to £22 (up from £15). This is the first increase since I joined to society in 1998. We hope you will consider the new-look, fully fledged peer-reviewed journal Language & History (of which the first 2009 issue is with the printer's now) means you still get very good value for money.
The new rates are as follows:
Ordinary Members: £22 (but £23 if paying by PayPal, where we incur a charge)
Associate Members (within three years of graduation only):£11
For members paying in Euros into our Dutch bank account: 30 Euros / 15 Euros
For members in the USA and other members paying in US dollars: $38 or $19
Please see the attachment for full details of how to pay. Of course subscriptions are not due yet, but we wanted to give plenty of notice to those who pay by standing order.
Please do remember to adjust your standing order in good time. We rely entirely on members' subscriptions to fund the bulletin/journal, as well as our other activities.
With best wishes, and thanks for you support of the Society,
Nicola McLelland
