Sorry been away. The way the "ethical question" was written did not
allude to any other complications. I agree there _could_ be
complications. But the way I read the question was, Is it ok to tell
patients what pharmacy to go to? And if there is only one open in town
on a given day then it would be utterly idiotic not to tell the patient
that. If there are several open or the patient comes from another town
then I think most of us would say you can take that script to any
pharmacy you like. Or not, if you chose not to have it dispensed.
So while the question might have been written to provoke some
intelligent discussion, personally I doubt it.

stuff for real???
Depends if
a. You happen to be an owner of Big John Carsons Drug Emporium
b. There are two other pharmacies open closer to the surgery
c. you say that Big Johns (which you happen to own) is the only
pharmacy that can obtain co-proxamol.
If this is all fine - then the question needs not be asked.
If it isn't then what's the answer?
