I am searching for a EU Marie Curie Early Research Fellowship in
Sensorymotor Neuroscience to work at the School of Psychology, University of
Birmingham.
The fellow will be involved in the design, execution and analysis of
behavioural and brain imaging (fMRI) experiments on healthy human adults to
investigate the brain’s use of sensory and motor information for state
estimation during voluntary actions. The research will involve combining
behavioural, brain imaging and MR-compatible robotics techniques to study
the neural basis of state estimation, and the roles of parietal cortex and
cerebellum to this process.
The work will require regular coordination and interaction with other
researchers working with the “C7: Cerebellar-Cortical Control: Cells,
Circuits, Computation and Clinic” Initial Training Network, and can involve
periods of work with the other project partners
(http://www.cerebellumc7.eu). The fellow is expected to register for a PhD
at the University of Birmingham.
Salary (which will be subject to UK taxation & superannuation) will be at
the EU Marie Curie rate of €37,668 per annum with an additional contribution
to the costs of mobility allowance of €6,552 - €10,476 per annum. Other
benefits such as career exploratory allowance and travel allowances will be
available.
