Dear Paul,
I am currently researching the relationship between contemporary drawing practice and the use of glass within a studio context, which is a practice based PhD based at the University of Sunderland, Department of Glass and Ceramics. There is some excellent research already completed in the field of drawing, some of which has been done through a formal research degree process, and most is quite recent. This includes both practical and theoretical approaches. Good starting points, (which I expect other DRN contributors might also suggest ?), would be to look at Wimbledon College of Art and also Loughborough University. I guess it depends what aspect of drawing you are most interested in as the subject is so wide ranging... can you refine the question a bit more at this point ?
