Hi there,
My name is Emma Scott-Smith and I've only posted a few times before. I
thought this might be a good place to ask for advice?
I am running a crtical dicussion - art based workshops with a local mental
health and arts group. The aim of the workshops are to produce artwork which
raises awarness in the participants and the public. I am trying to focus on
conscientizing practices and how the medical model is always so dominant and
how alternative models can help (ie, art, social model). I want to obtain a
good news article on mental health issues which with the group we can un-
pack employing discourse analysis. I hope to see how the medical model filters
through to everything. I want to use an everyday kind of article to get the
initial discussion going?
Can anyone help as I can't seem to put my finger on finding something?
With many thanks,
Emma
