Caveat Peter's RAINdrops and the Essex RO report at the SoA Eastern
Regional meeting I haven't seen much on this list about ongoing work in the
Cologne Archives.
They're still looking for volunteers and assistance - earlier this week the city
authorities reported that they've found another layer of archives at the actual
site of the archives, so they're going to start up two shifts a day working
there (see first URL below)
Colleagues from The National Archives went over last month, and some more
will be heading over at the end of July thanks to support from the Society of
Archivists. The City is providing bed and board for volunteers, and the is
served by easyJet and GermanWings - it might not be as awkward as you'd
first think to help out.
