We wish to appoint seven trainee Health Intelligence Analysts to work
across the Yorkshire and Humber region. These posts will allow you to
gain practical knowledge and experience within a working environment as
well as undertake a fully funded part-time Masters programme (with study
leave) in Public Health or a health intelligence related subject.
The successful candidates will be part of a network of trainees
supporting the provision of health intelligence and analytical support
within the Yorkshire and Humber region to improve health and reduce
health inequalities. During the two year training contract you will
undertake two one year placements within the Yorkshire and Humber
Primary Care Trusts (PCTs). During these placements you will have
dedicated trainers to oversee your professional development. You will
also spend time working at YHPHO and other NHS organisations.
*What are we looking for?*
You will be a graduate with a flair for numbers and a passion for
statistics. Ideally, you will have relevant job experience but, more
importantly, you will be able to demonstrate the following key
qualities: self-management, team working and strong communication
skills. You will also have a strong base of knowledge and skills in data
management and analysis combined with the ability to draw out key
insights and messages from complex and wide ranging sources of data.
